QUESTIONS. ASKED, FREQUENTLY.

What should I wear to services?

You're welcome here no matter what your style! But if you're curious.... In the 8:00am traditional service you will find a range from dressy to casual, so whatever is more comfortable for you is more than acceptable. At the 9:30am and 11:00am services, people dress anywhere from business casual to "I'm headed to the river after the service" casual.

Do you provide child care or children's programs during the services?

We provide child care for babies and toddlers during our contemporary worship services on Sundays at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. The care providers are in the nursery for the duration of the service. You may take your children to the nursery before the service begins or whenever you are ready to do so.

We do not have children's church during any of our worship services. Our Sunday School classes, however, do meet at 9:30 am, the same time as one of our worship services. If it works best for your family, you are welcome to attend worship while your children attend Sunday School.

How many people attend Living Hope Church?

We are currently in a pattern of growth and have decided to seek expansion through the construction of a new church building. In the meantime, to accomodate everyone, we conduct 3 services every Sunday. Each service typically hosts between 50-90 people. You are welcome to join us at any service; you will find room for you and your family, a welcoming smile, and people open to new faces!

What about communion? When and how do you celebrate it?

Yes, we celebrate communion. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 11 that celebrating The Lord’s Supper is one way that we remember and proclaim the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.

We typically share communion together on the first Sunday of every month in all of our worship services.

We practice open communion. You do not need to be a member of our church in order to participate with us. If you join us for a communion Sunday, you are free either to participate or to simply observe.

May I observe one of your children's programs?

Absolutely! You children are a top priority and are under the care of fully background checked and trained care givers. As a general rule, we are happy to have you stay and observe if that will put you at ease.

We would ask you to be sensitive as to whether your presence might be disruptive for the younger kids or awkward for the older kids. If this seems to be the case, please be understanding. We will do everything we can to make this a good experience for you and your child.

Are you a Bible-believing church?

Yes. We believe that the Bible is the true, holy and complete written Word of God, written by humans who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe God gave us this written Word to reveal to us His character and nature, to show us how much He loves us, and to teach us how to live in personal relationship with Him.

Do you have relationships with other churches in the Livingston area?

You bet we do! Pastor Shad is a member of the Park County Ministerial Association. Together the pastors of many of the Christian churches in the Livingston area plan community events, operate a program to help people in Park County with urgent material needs, and pray for the residents of Park County.

Why does your church look like an old Catholic building?

We love our historic property. It looks like an old Catholic church because it IS and old Catholic church. We purchased the building from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 1968. As we continue to grow in numbers, we are looking to expand to another property to facilitate outreach and continued service to our body and the community.

Were you called Livingston Congregational Church in the past?

Our church was founded with the name Livingston Congregational Church in 1964. In 2013 we changed our name to Living Hope Church. If you want to know why we made the change and why we chose the name Living Hope Church, check out our history section.
